Samburu Masai Mara & Amboseli Safari
The safari will take you to the remote and arid northern region of Samburu where you can see desert adapted species such as the Gerenuk and the Reticulated Giraffe before being whisked away to the teeming savannahs of the Masai Mara, home to one of the greatest shows on Earth - the great Migration.
Then travel to Amboseli on your luxury Kenya safari and see Elephants against the snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro. The reserve is one of the best places in Kenya to see the highly endangered Black Rhino and is also renowned for its Big Tuskers.
Day 1: Nairobi
On arrival in Nairobi, on the first day of your Kenya safari you will be met at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to your Kenya safari accommodation in Nairobi. You have the afternoon to relax before a pre-departure meeting with your tour guide is held in the evening. Relax and enjoy a drink at the bar or cool off with a dip in the swimming pool.
Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve
In the morning you will be driven to Wilson Airport to board a regional flight to Samburu, one of the most arid Kenya safari parks. On arrival at the airstrip you will be met by a representative from the camp and transferred to your Kenya safari accommodation, before setting out on an afternoon game drive.
This arid region is home to a surprising diversity of wildlife that is sustained by the Ewaso Ng’iro River. Look out for desert animals such as Besia Oryx and the Gerenuk. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 3: Samburu, Shaba and Buffalo Springs National Reserves
Enjoy breakfast in the bush before exploring Samburu on both morning and afternoon game drives, returning to the lodge for lunch during the day. The river is home to some of the largest Crocodiles in Africa, and the reserve is a good place to look out for Cheetah during your luxury Kenya safari.
The park has natural springs which are fed by underground aquifers which carry the water all the way from the melting glaciers on Mount Kenya. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve
After a leisurely morning, you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip to board a flight to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival you will be met by a representative from the camp and driven to your Kenya safari accommodation for the next few nights before experiencing a night game drive in the Mara concession area.
The Mara is one of the iconic wildlife regions of the African continent and has abundant plains game and one of the largest Lion populations on Earth. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve
Today spend the whole day in the Masai Mara National Reserve, the most iconic of the Kenya safari parks. Head out on morning and afternoon game drives - returning to the camp for lunch.
Explore the wide sweeping savannahs which at certain times of the year teem with over 2 million Wildebeest, thousands of Zebra and Gazelles, all closely followed by the predators. You can see all the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant) in the Reserve. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve
Today you can choose to do an optional activity, either an early morning Hot Air Balloon safari (a spectacular way to view the sweeping plains) or a walking safari, during which a knowledgeable ranger will decode the secrets of the bush for you. Alternately, just relax and head out on a game drive before spending some time relaxing at the camp. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 7: Amboseli National Park
In the morning you will be transferred to the nearby airstrip and fly to one of the most scenic Kenya safari parks - Amboseli via Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
On arrival you will be met by a representative from the camp and driven to the Kenya safari accommodation where you will spend the next couple of nights. In the afternoon you will be taken on a guided nature walk in the Amboseli concession area. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 8: Amboseli National Park
You will spend the day in Amboseli. Head out on morning and afternoon game drives in search of the wildlife. Amboseli is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. The park is home to many Buffalo and you will have good Hippo sightings in the swamps.
This is one of the best places in Kenya to see the endangered Black Rhino. (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Day 9: Nairobi
After a morning game drive in Amboseli and a delicious breakfast, you will be driven to the nearby airstrip and flown back to the capital Nairobi, where you have the choice of being transferred to your hotel or to the airport for your onwards travel arrangements. (Breakfast Included)
